Third week

This week has been plentyfull of work....and has also included an interesting visit to SVT which was very nice. We have concluded with more hardworking LABS and I am not yet finished with all of them..still looking forward to the photoshop and Indesign labs. It has been interesting for me to learn the whole new world of hypertexts as well.

We have also started on our music projects and I believe we have some pretty interesting ideas on the go about that. We might start of by editing some youtube- clips....we'll see.

I have also started to learn phrases on simplelearn which I find is a very usefull way for me to learn, and also good to understand words you already capture but also really get the full meaning of them. Although I have not been able to study everytime I got an email from the 'learningmaster'.

We have also discussed them meaning and use of games, and argumented for its narratives as ludologists and narratologists....I have still not quite figured out which of them I agree with.

New week

This week we have evaluated different printing processes and we have had a printing Lab....which was very fun and different from what I am used to.

I have also practiced CSS and had two Labs doing different excercises, which was very interesting and took me quite a while to get through. But I think it will be useful for me to have least some knowledge of this in my future career. I am also looking very much forward to the Labs concerning Indesign and Photoshop which hopefully will be handeled next week. So yet another funny, productive and noteworthy week of elaberating new knowledge.

My first week at KTH - Media Production

During this and last week I have experience a lot of new techniques of learning and sharing experiences. During the first Lab I was exposed to new material (first of all "a MAC")which was a bit tricky for me to handle in the start. And reading about web publishing and xhtml and CSS is very new to me. Although I find it interesting and will keep trying to use it as much as possible.

The thing a have come to realize is how applicable and communicative new media forms are. My daily use of Facebook is only one way of experiences the interactivity and speed of communication. Using google-docs and RSS are also of great impact when working on a project and working in a group of people...which will come in handy in my future work.

We have also had an interesting lecture on the music-industry and the everchanging consumer behavior, due to new technology. Our assignment is to come up with new business models as the old ones are obsolete. This is a really interesting market concerning many different stakeholders and the whole society....all due to technical changes, peer-to-peer networks and communication on the internet. There will be very interesting discussions on legisalation and about how knowledgable and interactive consumers are getting when they form their own networks of exchange and share knowledge more effectively on the internet.
